My blog is dead.
If you've been a faithful reader of the insanity farm for a while, you've probably realized this. If not, then you haven't missed much in the past few months. Frankly, the site has been at odds with both my time and interest, and I eventually allowed it to fall by the wayside.
I'll never stop blogging; this is just a temporary hiatus. When the site returns, it will be different. Much different.
I've been honing my design skills. One thing that has irritated me for years about my blog is how amateurish it looked, and how limited it was in terms of usability. When I reboot the site, those issues will be addressed to the fullest extent of my ability.
Furthermore, you can expect a change in content. I'm still sorting out in my own mind the direction that I'd like for it to go, but a number of things have been on my heart lately and when I can put them into words I'd like to share them here. I expect it will be quite a different format from what you've come to expect in years past.
So consider this letter a friendly notice that things will be quiet around here for a while. I have no timeline set in which to return, but it'll happen. Eventually. Check back here from time to time (though I won't blame you if you forget all about it). It may be months, it may be years. But I'll be back here. In the meantime, I can be found on Wordnik, Facebook, Ficlets, and MetaFilter. See you on those sites?
